Update on Kurzweil’s Add-On for Reading Mozilla’s Firefox

When Firefox was upgraded to version 3, the Kurzweil add-on became defunct.  I had thought that it would be only a week or so before Kurzweil created a new add-on.  Since an add-on has not appeared in more than 2 months, a co-worker wrote to Kurzweil wanting to know the add-on’s status.  This is Kurzweil’s reply:
“Our Product team says that the engineering team is working on it now. It is due out within a month or two. For the time being, you can either go to Mozilla and download their previous version of Firefox 2 which is compatible with our Add-on. First you need to uninstall the current version and then download 2.0.0.16 (English). Here’s a link to the download page.
Or you can change your default read the web browser to Explorer. To change to Internet Explorer, launch the Kurzweil program, tools, options, then click the Explorer radio button, apply, ok.”
