In the academic world, Universal Design is more commonly known as Universal Design of Instruction, UDI; in the K-12 world it is most ofter referred to as Universal Design for Learning. This could belong with the 21st Century Learning information but I felt that UD needed its own page because it has not become a catch phrase like 21st Cent. Learning and I think that it is a vital piece of 21st Century Learning. Several sections of the educational sector have implemented UD principles; therefore there are many educational UD guidelines.
