Hi, Elizabeth,
We are not partners with Bookshare.org; we do have a membership but that means I can download books for specific students. I have encouraged the students to obtain their own personal memberships so they will have it when they leave LC. Because our books are in Kurzweil format, Bookshare could not upload the files. LC was not asked by Bookshare to join this partnership. Perhaps the selected universities and colleges are large enough to warrant the energy needed to complete this trial with enough results which can be further analyzed. I have signed us up for a beta version of AccessText Network being launched later this summer. Thank you for thinking about it.

Hi, Andre,
I'm assuming that you have Firefox 2 installed on your computer, so you need to upgrade to Firefox 3. The directions are at

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/?from=getfirefox

Then you can use the "fix" for Kurzweil reading the web, which I need to email you with the .xpi file as an attachment. As soon as I post this I'll send the email to
msscott73@charter.net.
Let me know if you have problems or questions. Thank you,
Candace

Hi,

I'm writing to double check and see if your all at landmark will send a copy of the Firefox 3.0 upgrade to me as well. I am a student with learning disabilities and I'm getting my masters degree at Capella University in human services with a specialization in social and community services. Mozilla Firefox 2.0 no longer works or is even compatible with my system.

I'm hoping that that will come out with the 3.0 Firefox that will work for Kurzweil version 10. If and when they do, can you please e-mail me the link so that I can install it on my computer? I would really like to keep it with my work.

Thank you!
